The Problem

With new heat stress standards rolling out, subcontractors and smaller companies, the ones who already struggle most to implement safety programs faced a real compliance gap. Workers were at risk from something entirely preventable, and the tools available were either too complex or too slow for the field.

The Approach

I started with a UX-first mindset: keep the form fast, the interface simple, and surface only the information crews need to make decisions quickly. Three inputs, under two minutes, and a complete safety plan. No training required.

What It Does

Enter your location, crew size, and acclimatization level. The tool pulls real-time weather data, calculates heat risk, and generates a custom work-rest schedule with hydration guidelines: ready to download as a PDF or display on-site.
